Accessibility
The Florence airport (FLR) is called Amerigo Vespucci and is situated on the north-west outskirts of Florence, just 4 km from the city center. The center can be reached in about 15 minutes by taxi, and in about 20 minutes with the Busitalia SITA Nord "Vola in Bus" bus shuttle operating between the airport and the central railway station of Santa Maria Novella. The Florence Airport is connected to some of Europe's major airports such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Bucharest, Frankfurt, Geneva, London Gatwick, Madrid, Munich, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Vienna. There are also flights to and from the following Italian cities: Bologna, Cagliari, Catania, Milan Malpensa, Olbia, Palermo, Rome Fiumicino, Turin and Verona. Traveling by train between Rome and Florence is also easy, affordable and fast.

Language
The official language of the Meeting is English. Some sessions will be simultaneously translated into Italian and are indicated in the official programme.

Meeting Abstracts and Handouts
All the 2017 abstracts, ePosters and workshop handouts are available on the ICS Website: www.ics.org/2017/programme. Where authorised by the speaker, all workshop PowerPoint slides will be available after the meeting on the website in pdf format.

Cyber Café, Internet & Wi-Fi
Free Internet facilities are available to all meeting participants in the exhibition area during exhibition opening hours. Please do be considerate of fellow participants when using these facilities. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the Congress Centre.

Climate
After the hot summer months of July and August, things begin to cool down in Florence in September, when the autumn season is just beginning. During this month, the average temperature for the city starts off at 23°C, created by highs of 29°C during the daytime and lows of 17°C after dark.

Currency
Euros are the official national currency of Italy. All major credit cards are accepted.

About the ICS
ICS is a charity and multidisciplinary membership society for medical professionals concerned with treating incontinence. ICS aims to provide a forum for scientific discoveries and educational opportunities, as well as giving members the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the world. ICS strives to improve the quality of life for people affected by urinary, bowel and pelvic floor disorders by advancing basic and clinical science through education, research, and advocacy; via our committees, education courses, the annual meeting, and much more.

Clothing
During the entire International Continence Society Meeting, attire will be casual and informal.

Visas
Citizens of certain countries and territories need a visa to visit or transit Italy. Please contact your local embassy in good time before the meeting.

Letter of Invitation
Participants requiring a formal letter of invitation to enable them to make their arrangements to participate in the Meeting should send an e-mail to ics@kenes.com. Please make sure to e-mail your passport number and your full address. Please note that the invitation letter cannot be regarded as a commitment regarding scheduling or financial support from the Meeting Secretariat.

Conference Travel Awards
The ICS Conference Travel Awards are designed to help meet the ICS charitable objectives by assisting members from three key groups who are likely to lack resources to travel and attend the annual meetings.

Abstract Awards
The ICS Scientific Committee honours the highest scoring abstracts every year. There are three prizes awards, based directly on the abstract content. To learn more about the abstract awards available click here.

CME Accreditation
An application for CME accreditation will be made through the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).

The 47th Annual Meeting of the International Continence Society (ICS 2017) has been judged as compliant with the Eucomed Code of Ethical Business Practice.

Liability and Insurance
The International Continence Society Meeting Secretariat and Organisers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

Personal Insurance
We recommend that all ICS Annual Meeting participants take out personal travel and health insurance for the trip.

Photography
Please note there will be official photographers at the ICS 2017 Annual Meeting. Photos taken during the event may later be used in ICS publications. Please do not take photos during scientific sessions.

Video Photography
Due to legal and privacy regulations, we request that participants refrain from any video recording during sessions. This is also disruptive to fellow participants and we therefore ask you to be considerate. Where authorised by the speaker workshop PowerPoint slides will be available after the meeting on the website in pdf format.

Smoking Policy
This is a non-smoking venue. Participants are requested to refrain from smoking in all areas.
