Rhonda Kotarinos received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois, Chicago in 1974 and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University with a specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1989. Rhonda earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2011.

Rhonda has held numerous board and committee positions in several medical professional societies. She is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS), American Urological Association (AUA), International Continence Society (ICS), International Urogynecology Association (IUGA), International Pelvic Pain Society (IPPS), American Pain Society (APS), International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP), and the International Myopain Society.

Rhonda wrote the physical therapy protocol and was the lead physical therapist in two National Institutes of Health funded Randomized Controlled Trials; “A Pilot Feasibility Study of Physical Therapy for the Treatment of Urologic Pelvic Pain Syndromes” and “A Single-Blinded Randomized Multi-Center Trial to Evaluate the Efficacy and Durability of Myofascial Tissue Manipulation in Women with Interstitial Cystitis/Painful Bladder Syndrome”.

Rhonda is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Morsani College of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of South Florida where she instructs physicians in the Urogynecology Fellowship program in the coordination of care utilizing physical therapy for pelvic floor dysfunction.
