The 20th Annual Postgraduate Course in Advanced Gynecologic Surgery

Unpublished

This postgraduate course has been taught by outstanding surgeons and experienced educators from the SGS since 1991. The core principles of the course have been similar to the founding principles established by SGS at its inception in 1974: to promote the acquisition of knowledge and the improvement in skills in gynecologic surgery. This course is targeted to general gynecologists, physicians-in-training and other pelvic health providers interested in gynecologic surgery. We are confident that the course will provide expert information that will enhance your understanding of the anatomy of pelvic floor disorders and surgical approaches to the full spectrum of advanced gynecologic conditions. Among other topics, this year’s course will feature cutting edge presentations on: cystoscopy for the gynecologist, pros/cons of mesh in treating pelvic organ prolapse, applications of robotic surgery in gynecology, the challenging vaginal hysterectomy and surgical approaches to treat anterior vaginal prolapse.
