The CPC Public Forum will be held on Wednesday, 17 October 2012 from 6 PM to 9PM at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing. The focus of this year’s Public Forum will be Neurogenic Bladder and Overactive Bladder symptoms in spinal cord injured patients. This is a huge problem in China and one that needs to be addressed. Chairing this forum will be Limin Liao, Professor Wang Jianye and Frankie Bates. A great line up of speakers have been planned to cover both medical and behavioural approaches to care, as well as physiotherapy treatment to improve symptoms.
The Public Forum is a way of focusing the attention of the general public and international medical community on the reality of life for people with urinary, bowel and pelvic floor disorders. It is open to the general public, caregivers and healthcare professionals and provides the perfect opportunity for the ICS and CPC to raise awareness of all aspects of bladder/bowel incontinence and pelvic floor disorders and to discuss issues of relevance to continence promotion.
The Public Forum is a free event open to 300 participants of the general public, including caregivers and healthcare professionals.
