  • Practice the incontinence and prolapse procedures from start to finish
  • Post procedure dissection – to review accuracy
  • Ask anatomical or surgical “hands on” related questions

The didactic sessions will cover the following topics:

  • Recently published reports on prolapse and stress urinary incontinence surgical procedures
  • The published scientific evidence on the safety, short and long term efficacy of the mesh augmented prolapse repair and different surgical treatments of stress urinary incontinence
  • How to avoid surgical complications
  • Litigation discussion led by a UK based lawyer
For this session, cadaveric prosections, video clip of different surgical procedures will also be used.

The practical sessions will include “hands on” soft-preserved cadavers and silicone pelvis mannequins/simulators covering the surgical techniques as well as technical tricks for various anti-incontinence and reconstructive vaginal surgical procedures. Delegates will be instructed and guided through the surgical steps how to perform all the mid-urethral sling approaches (retropubic top-bottom, bottom-top, transobturator, mini-sling), transvaginal reconstructive pelvis surgery and how to avoid/manage surgically mesh related complications.
