Adding to the Masterclasses in Urogynaecology courses in London, a one day live surgery day is offered.
Observing live surgery is an invaluable part of a surgeon’s education, and this opportunity is a great chance to watch skilled surgical hands operating live and ask questions. As with all live surgery, the possibility of potential acute cases taking priority has to be recognized – this cannot be predicted and we count on your understanding and professionality should something like this occur.
Surgical cases on the day
The surgical lists will be determined approximately 6 weeks before the course. Mr Digesu will review the attendee list and aim to put together a list of cases that will meet the needs of the attendees (as much as possible). This will of course be dependent on current patient lists etc.
Typical cases could be: Anterior and/or posterior native tissue repairs, retropubic slings, transobturator slings, injectable bulking agents and Sacral colpopexy.
