The International Continence Society (ICS) in union with the Colombian Society of Urology (SCU) has developed an educational course in pelvic floor disorders and voiding dysfunction because this is one of the areas of medicine with more growth in terms of research and technological development. In Latin America these pathologies play an important role in the daily practice of urologists, gynecologists, coloproctologists, physiatrists, geriatricians and general practitioners, as well as physical therapists and nurses specialized in this area.

This course will take place on august 5th and 6th 2011 where experts in urology and gynecology will show the best scientific evidence for decision making in the management of pelvic floor pathologies such as urinary incontinence, urodynamics, pelvic floor prolapse, chronic pelvic pain, voiding dysfunction, overactive bladder, neuromodulation and pelvic floor rehabilitation.

The event will take place in Cartagena, a Colombian Caribbean city of great architectural beauty, with exquisite cuisine and exemplary hospitality. Its beaches and natural beauty are worth noting. The meeting venue will be the hotel and Convention Center Las Americas Beach Resort just 5 minutes by taxi from the airport, a five star facility with a new infrastructure that can hold more than 2000 people.

Dr Ajay Singla and Dr. Mauricio Plata are the course coordinators.

We look forward to seeing you at this academic meeting, first of its kind in the Caribbean.
