There are many physicians who perform surgeries to help urinary incontinence, but not all of them know what to do when a surgery fails.

Dr. Ajay Singla, Professor & Director of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at The University of Toledo Medical Center, delivered International Continence Society (ICS) lecture at USICON in India on this topic. This conference, the Urological Society of India’s 46th Annual Conference, was held 17th-20th January 2013 and featured speakers from US and Europe. The conference was attended by approximately 2000 delegates from India and Southeast Asia.

Dr Singla’s presentation concerned management of failed procedures in women with stress urinary incontinence and focused mainly on the use of pubovaginal slings and artificial urinary sphincter (AUS). Dr Singla also participated in a panel discussion on complicated case presentations.

The ICS would like to thank USICON for inviting Dr Singla to speak at this event; we look forward to working with USICON in the future.
