In collaboration with the 6th Pan Arab Continence Society (PACS) meeting
The first add-on education course of 2010 was held in collaboration with the 6th Pan Arab Continence Society (PACS) meeting. Sherif Mourad (President of PACS) was the ICS coordinator and local host for this meeting. Six ICS speakers attended the meeting: Werner Schaefer, Soren Brostrøm, Jacques Corcos, Marcus Drake, Hashim Hashim and Helmut Madersbacher. Other International speakers included Sherif Mourad, Paulo Palma, Ervin Kocjancic, Magdy Hassouna, Diaa Rizk, Bary Berghmans and others.
The 2.5 day programme opened on 4th February with a 3-hour workshop on Urodynamics, led by Werner Schaefer and Marcus Drake. Over the subsequent days a wide variety of sessions were covered by both ICS and PACS speakers, including: Neuro-urology, Female Urology, OAB, Fistula Surgery, Urethral Strictures and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. Approximately 180 delegates attended the ICS sessions and lively discussions were held after each session.
The ICS further developed its strong relationship with PACS and there are already preliminary discussions underway for another collaborative meeting in Dubai, February 2011.
