The ad hoc ICS working group that was started by the ICS Standardisation Steering Committee is pleased to announce that their draft of the new ICS Standard: ‘ICS Good Urodynamics Practices and Terms 2015’ will be ready for consultation at the ICS 2015 meeting in Montreal. This consultation will take place on Tuesday 6th October following Workshop 11 ‘Basic Urodynamics - An Interactive Workshop’.

The new evidence based ICS-GUP2015 has more precisely or newly defined more than 40 terms and provides standards for the practice of urodynamics labs in general and for the (individual) practice of quality control during and after cystometry and pressure flow analysis as well as for the reporting. Furthermore the working group has included recommendations for pretesting information and for patient information and preparation. On the basis of earlier ICS standardisations and the available evidence, the practice of uroflowmetry, cystometry and pressure flow study are further detailed. We are therefore inviting members to attend this consultation to provide feedback on this draft document prior to official publication. The draft document will be made available to all members, on the ICS website prior to the consultative.

The session is free of charge and will take place in room 516D following Workshop 11. We welcome your feedback and look forward to seeing you there!
