The ICS Board of Trustees met in Montreal and discussed the membership fee for 2016. It was decided that a modest rise was required to meet ongoing cost increases. This is the first increase since 2014. The Board have also responded to the request to make a lower rate available for those members who are Nurses, Physiotherapists and Early Career Professionals. The Board feel that this updated fee structure meets the multi-disciplinary aims of the ICS and will encourage more people to join and benefit from the society.

The ICS still offers online access to NaU at a largely reduced rate compared to a direct subscription. Also, members still have access to the awards and grants offered each year, a vast amount of scientific content and videos, as well as the ability to network internationally. The Board also strongly feel that the ICS continues to offer a very competitive rate compared to other professional medical organisations.
