Aims and Objectives
|
Sub-urethral sling procedures have become the gold standard surgical treatment of female stress urinary incontinence (SUI). However, as many as 20 percent of patients (± 15000 patients per year worldwide) will experience persistent SUI after their sling surgery. This workshop focusing on sling failures (persistent SUI) is intended to be interactive with case discussions. Factors associated with sling failure will be reviewed, investigations to be conducted and potential additional therapies will be discussed under the light of the currently available literature.
