About the ICS
ICS is a charity and multidisciplinary membership society for medical professionals concerned with treating incontinence. ICS aims to provide a forum for scientific discoveries and educational opportunities, as well as giving members the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the world. ICS strives to improve the quality of life for people affected by urinary, bowel and pelvic floor disorders by advancing basic and clinical science through education, research, and advocacy; via our committees, education courses, the annual meeting, and much more.

Clothing
During the entire International Continence Society Meeting, attire will be casual and informal.

Letter of Invitation
Participants requiring a formal letter of invitation to enable them to make their arrangements to participate in the Meeting should send an e-mail to ics@kenes.com. Please make sure to e-mail your passport number and your full address. Please note that the invitation letter cannot be regarded as a commitment regarding scheduling or financial support from the Meeting Secretariat.

Visas
Some countries require a visa for entry to Brazil. Please consult the Brazilian Embassy or Consulate nearest to you for specific details relating to visas. We advise that you allow plenty of time for your passport to be returned to you from the consulate in case of delays in processing. This is particularly important for delegates from the USA or Canada as Brazilian visa processing is typically taking longer than for other countries. It is strongly advised that Americans and Canadians begin their Visa application as soon as possible, particularly as from 1 October 2014 it may be necessary to attend a Brazilian embassy or consulate to receive a Visa.

Conference Travel Awards
The ICS Conference Travel Awards are designed to help meet the ICS charitable objectives by assisting members from three key groups who are likely to lack resources to travel and attend the annual meetings.

  • Members from less economically developed countries click here to see if your country is on the list
  • Members from allied health and non-medical professions
  • Members in training

The ICS normally offers up to 5 Conference Travel Awards. In order to apply and to find out more information please visit the ICS website by clicking here.
