Aims and Objectives

Previous studies have shown that pelvic floor disorders can affect young sports practitioners, although they usually don’t present classical risk factors. Trampoline gymnastics, basketball, volleyball or athletics are considered high-risk modalities for urinary and faecal incontinence. This workshop will provide an overview of the pelvic floor disorders in female athletes and the multidisciplinary approach using clinical, biomechanical and functional evaluation. Attendees will also be introduced to processing clinical evaluation using standards, protocols and Sport Medicine techniques.
