Neurogenic bladder is a term applied to a malfunctioning urinary bladder due to neurologic dysfunction or insult emanating from internal or external trauma, disease, or injury. Symptoms of neurogenic bladder range from detrusor underactivity to overactivity ( depending on the site of neurologic insult), sphincter underactivity or overactivity and loss of coordination with bladder function. Treatment options have evolved rapidy in the last 20 years. The aim of this workshop will be to give participants the most complete overview (features, diagnosis and management) of neurogenic bladder focusing especially on therapeutical options and their latest trends.
