The workshop aims to provide urologists with a practical and clinically relevant framework for managing ketamine-induced uropathy, a complex condition increasingly encountered in daily urological practice. By integrating insights from addiction medicine and emerging pathophysiological mechanisms into urology-centered decision-making, the workshop supports urologists in understanding disease progression, counseling patients effectively, and selecting appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic strategies across disease stages. Emphasis is placed on translating interdisciplinary knowledge into actionable tools that directly inform urological care and improve patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives

  • To provide a clear, stepwise urological management pathway from conservative treatment to end-stage surgical reconstruction
  • To demonstrate how addiction-related behavior directly impacts urological outcomes and treatment success
  • To translate emerging pathophysiological insights into clinically relevant concepts for urologists.
