Dear CPC members,

Please see the attached TOR for review. One of the action points from Rio was the following:

Office to remove Fistula subcommittee from TOR and change wording of function to national level

The office has removed this subcommittee but I wanted to confirm where the wording regarding fistulas should be placed e.g. functions?

Please could you review the terms and confirm regarding the above and whether any additional changes are required by 5th February.

Thank you

Jenny

Oh my gosh Jenny , So sorry. Totally forgot to respond!I know we definitly decided to remove Fistula committee but were we considering getting rid of the subcommittees / (i.e. take that box out altogether? If so then we need to change wording of sentence prior to that "and to be active on subcommittees." to "and to be active on the board". Perhps this needs to be voted on and has not as yet, if you could confirm Jenny?I believe we are trying to cut costs within ICS and keep meeting to once at annual meeting so remove "and the second meeting heard mid-year, usually during EAU." change to "can correspond by teleconference, webinaires etc. as required". Sorry I am not seeing the wording re fistulas. Can you confirm where I am missing it (checked twice) and I will get back to you tomorrow on this point. Otherwise approve the TOR. Again apologise for delay!

Hi Jenny, general suggestions although I know you were looking at the fistula and subcommittee wording, I looked at the document in its entirety:
Under Purpose - remove "various"
Under Principles 1st point - remove the word “various" - it doesn't make sense or add value. Perhaps just say "internationally".
Under Principles 3rd point – I would suggest that it is not this committee’s role to facilitate development of continence organisations but to act as a resource and provide advice on such an activity.
Under Principles 5th point – reword to “identify opportunities for dissemination of information about new continence prevention strategies and modalities” (probably what the annual workshop could or is used for)
Under Functions – 1st point - suggest that this is not a function and does not make sense to be in this area.
Agree with Frankie regarding her points and suggest they be considered.
My apologies for a late response as well. Regards Rowan

Hi Frankie,

No that's fine, thank you for responding. I thought we were taking the subcommittees (all) out as well- I will need Tamara to confirm this before I remove them. Yes, I agree that the wording will need to be amended, not sure why active on the board is on there?! That will need to be removed.
I agree we should remove 2nd meeting and change to teleconference. I think fistula's were removed after the meeting.

Kind Regards

Jenny
