Rome was hot that year. There were many delegates who registered on the day rather than having organised this beforehand. This placed considerable stress on the organisers, the venues and the caterers for the social functions.
The meeting was preceded by a meeting of ICCS at the Ospedale Pediatrico Bambino Jesu.
The first of the State of Art lectures was given by A Elbadawi on “The functional pathology of human detrusor: the new frontier in voiding dysfunction”. The second was delivered by Derek Griffiths on “The diagnosis of obstruction: towards an ICS standard.”
There were 4 workshops.
Social events included a Welcome ceremony, the ICS birthday party, and a Gala Dinner
