What you will learn
A comprehensive review of the procedures for multichannel urodynamic testing, discussing elements of the filling cystometrogram, essential elements of voiding pressure flow study and integrated interpretation of urodynamic findings applicable to clinical practice and decision making.
This 2.5-day interactive Comprehensive Urodynamics course is designed to educate all professionals (with 6 months or more of experience) on the Basic Science supporting UDS testing, introduction to hardware, lower urinary tract physiology and pathophysiology of LUT dysfunction, Physical aspects of UDS testing, physical model for UDS testing, Performing and Interpreting UDS testing, safety, quality, and fiscal issues, indications and preparation for UDS evaluation, typical multichannel UDS evaluation sequence, interpreting LUT storage/ filling and emptying, application to clinical decision making, and application of findings in the clinical setting.
Learning Objectives:
Following the course, participants will be able to:
- Generate reproducible and valid urodynamic data.
- Identify fundamental urodynamic findings such as detrusor overactivity, low bladder wall compliance, urodynamic stress incontinence, underactive detrusor function and obstruction.
- Apply these findings to an integrated interpretation of urodynamic findings applicable to clinical practice and decision making while observing live in-person urodynamic cases.
