The **8th Macedonian Urological Symposium **organised by the Urological Association of Northern Greece will take place from the 3rd till the 5th of November 2011 in Thessaloniki.
This year the Urological Association of Northern Greece marks its 45th anniversary since its foundation, which in combination with the 80th anniversary of the Hellenic/Greek Urological Association attributes special significance to this year 2011, a year we have decided to call "The year of Urology." Forty-five years of uninterrupted presence and of continuous and improved contribution constitute a hallmark for any Body or Institution.
This year, the 8th Macedonian Urological symposium offers a scientific gathering as well as an opportunity for the valuation of previous proceedings, the setting of new objectives as well as for the attribution of honour and thanks to all those who have worked hard for the goals of the association. Eminent and distinguished colleagues from Greece and abroad will honour us with their presence and present the most advanced approaches to diagnostic, therapeutic and research topics covering the whole spectrum of Urology.
The Urological Association of Northern Greece would like to cordially thank all of the colleagues who have positively and effectively contributed to the long course of the Association as well as to the establishment of the Institution of the Macedonian Urological symposium.
