Laparoscopy in Urogynaecology-hands-on advanced course on Thiel cadavers

This is a newly developed 2 day Laparoscopic Urogynaecology Course using human cadavers embalmed with Thiel technology. Laparoscopic Courses in other specialities at our centre using Thiel's cadavers have been very successful and are in high demand. The operative programme will cover advanced laparoscopic skills including laparoscopic suturing skills, extracorporeal knotting techniques before practicing a wide range of apical support techniques including laparoscopic sacrohysteropexy, laparo-scopic cervicopectopexy, laparoscopic paravaginal repair and the very new in UK laparoscopic pectopexy with a new type of mesh material– DynaMesh. A ratio of 1:2 per cadaver. There will be good opportunity to interact with experts with a ratio of 1:2.

This 2 day unique, intensive course is aimed at Consultants and Senior registrars (ST6-7) with interest in Urogynaecology who have already achieved some competency in gynaecological laparoscopy.
