Welcome to the new and improved ICS Mentorship Programme!
The ICS is relaunching its mentorship programme, making it easier than ever to build meaningful connections with fellow continence professionals. You can apply to become either a mentor or a participant seeking mentorship.
We’ll then match you with the most suitable partner and make the introductions — the rest is up to you!
Exclusive to ICS Members
Both the mentor and the participant seeking mentorship need to be ICS members.
ICS Mentors will advance early careers with the experience of global Key Opinion Leaders
The strategic aim of the ICS is “to be the global home of science and clinical education for LUTS, Incontinence and Pelvic Floor Disorders”. The mentorship programme is designed to support early-career professionals by offering guidance in career planning, academic development, and pursuing relevant educational opportunities.
In today’s digital world, mentorship can largely take place online. However, we encourage in-person meetings during annual or regional ICS events. While mentors generously offer their time and expertise, mentorship participants are expected to actively engage and take ownership of their learning.
Process for Mentors and Participants
- Submit your application online.
- ICS and the Education Committee will pair applicants based on specialisms and requirements.
- Once matched, partners establish a relationship and discuss expectations.

To support your choice of mentor, the ICS Education Committee has prepared two insightful videos featuring Elise De and Margot Damaser, recorded during the ICS Early Career Session in Philadelphia at ICS 2018. Elise is a former Chair of the committee, and Margot served on the committee for six years.
