As we reflect on the past year and look ahead to 2026, it is clear that this has been a period of meaningful progress and global engagement for ICS.

A major milestone was our first Annual Meeting in the Middle East, the joint ICS–EUS 2025 meeting, which welcomed delegates from 82 countries. This landmark event represented an important step in expanding ICS’s international reach and fostering collaboration across regions, while delivering a strong scientific programme and valuable networking opportunities. All webcasts from ICS-EUS 2025 are now available here

We are looking forward ICS 2026 which will be held in Maastricht, the Netherlands next year!

Throughout the year, ICS continued to strengthen its organisational and scientific foundations. We were proud to establish three new committees; the Pelvic Pain Committee, Robotic Surgery Committee, and Bowel Dysfunction Committee, reflecting the evolving needs of the field and our commitment to advancing research, education, and clinical practice in these key areas.

We also celebrated a significant achievement in publishing, as both of our open-access journals, Continence and Continence Reports, received their first Impact Factors. Continence achieved an Impact Factor of 1.2, while Continence Reports received 0.5, underscoring the growing influence and quality of ICS-supported research.
Education remained a core focus, with five live ICS Masterclasses delivered across the year, engaging clinicians and researchers worldwide and supporting continued professional development.

In terms of leadership, we were pleased to appoint Tufan Tarcan as the new ICS General Secretary and Adrian Wagg as ICS Treasurer. Their expertise and dedication will play a vital role in guiding ICS through its next phase of development.

In addition to these achievements, ICS also held another successful Fistula Workshop in The Gambia, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to global health, capacity building, and improving care in low-resource settings.

The ICS Board of Trustees and Office extend their sincere thanks to our members, volunteers, faculty, and industry partners for their ongoing support and dedication. We also take a moment to remember colleagues and friends we have lost, and we hold their families and loved ones in our thoughts.

Please note that the ICS Office will be closed for the Christmas and New Year period from Tuesday 23rd December 2025 and will reopen on Friday 2nd January 2026. We wish all our members and supporters a peaceful festive season and a happy, healthy, and successful year ahead.
