The ICS Nursing Committee is pleased to share a brief update on key activities and opportunities for our nursing members.

ICS Annual Meeting 2026

The next ICS Annual Meeting will take place in Maastricht, the Netherlands, from 6–9 October 2026. Early bird registration closes on 9 June 2026, so be sure to secure your place soon!

Nursing Workshop - ICS 2026

We are delighted that the ICS Nursing Committee workshop has been accepted for this year’s programme: Advancing Research and Clinical Guidance on Women’s Bladder Self-Care Practices

This free session will explore evidence-based approaches to women’s bladder self-care, focusing on maintaining bladder health and preventing or managing lower urinary tract symptoms. It will feature:

  • Novel assessment frameworks
  • Practical management resources
  • A facilitated discussion with an expert panel

Nursing Forum

The Nursing Forum remains a cornerstone of the Annual Meeting for nurse attendees. We are excited to present a diverse and engaging programme, including contributions from colleagues in the Netherlands:

  • Dr Hanny Cobussen-Boekhorst, Nurse Practitioner, Radboud University Medical Centre, Nijmegen – Overview of the continence nurse landscape in the Netherlands
  • Dr Dina Mahjoob, RN, Clinical Researcher, Maastricht University – Continence nursing research in the Netherlands
  • Dr Wouter van der Sanden, Urologist, Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis – Ketamine cystitis and ketamine clinics in the Netherlands
  • Professor Joanne Robinson and Professor Donna Bliss – ICS Nursing Terminology Project
