Please join us in congratulating the recipients of this year’s Fellowships and Pfizer Scholarships:

Fellowships
NeuroUrology Fellowship – Ahmed AT Eissa, Egypt
Clinical Fellowship – Tarun Pradhan, Nepal
Urodynamics Fellowship – Ran Pang, China

Pfizer Scholarships
Rebekah Das, India
Fawzy Farag, Egypt
Cristina Naranjo-Ortiz, Spain
Mohan C Regmi, Nepal
Hamed Akhavizadegan, Iran

The fellowships provide training and career development opportunities for ICS members to gain research and clinical experience at centres of excellence in the areas of ICS focus: bladder, bowel, and pelvic floor dysfunction. In keeping with the objectives of the ICS, priority was given to members from less economically developed countries, allied and non-medical health professionals, trainees, and recent graduates.

This year, as part of the ICS Fellowship programme, we were able to offer 5 “Pfizer International Scholarships” which was made possible through an educational grant from Pfizer. The scholarships are for short term placements for up to one month, with an award of $5,000. Previously we have not offered a fellowship for less than one month, but with Pfizer’s support we were able to provide this. These proved extremely popular and having received 20 applications it was a difficult task for the Awards Panel to select winners.

The winning team for the Emerging Research Grant will be announced shortly.
