ICS Trustee, Alex Digesu, provides an update on what you can expect in Florence.

There are several reasons not to miss this year’s meeting. The Scientific Committee have been working on the scientific programme for last 12 months to ensure it’s an exciting, interesting and unmissable for all delegates. We have state of the art lectures, debates and hand on workshops for delegates to attend. Plus oral podium presentations from our international members and delegates.

This year the Scientific Committee received just under 1200 abstracts, which was the highest number of abstracts ever submitted to ICS in our 46 year history! We received a large number of urogynecology and urology abstracts for ICS 2017 and therefore have plenty of sessions on female pelvic floor medicine and reconstructive surgery. Alex states that he would “strongly recommends that all our urogynecologist and ICS members, with a special interest in this field, attend the next ICS meeting.”

But it is not just our scientific programme that should be of interest to delegates, our social events programme is just as exciting! The Scientific Committee have scheduled a fantastic programme which will allow delegates to enjoy all that Florence has to offer. We hope that delegates take time out to enjoy the monuments and museums that can be found in the city. As well as enjoying the Italian, food, weather and culture.

So join Alex Digesu and the ICS community at ICS 2017!
