WCW 2009 was the first ICS World Continence Week held from 22nd - 28th June 2009.

WCW 2009 Singapore

Rani Vadiveloo and colleagues ran a very successful and popular event in Singapore.Their were two public forum meetings, the first in the Paya Lebar Kovan Convention Centre on the 14th of June and the second in the SunTec City Convention Hall on the 27th of June 2009.

Two Hundred People attended the first public forum on 14 June 2009. The event was opened by Members of Parliment, Ms Cynthia Phua, Dr Wong, a Gynacologists from KK Women and Children's Hospital delivered the talk in Mandarin and Dr Pearllyn Quck, Urologist from Mt Alvemia Hospital in English.

The highlight of the event was the "Diaper Fashion Catwalk". Ten female contestants took part in this Fashion Show and the top three winners were given cash vouchers.

The second public forum on incontinence was held at Suntec City Convention Centre on 27 June 2009. The forum was held in English and Mandarin. The English session was attended by 170 people and the Mandarin session was attended by 180 people. Drs Christopher Chong, Tricia Koh, Arthur Tseng, Elleen Tan and Physiotherapists Li Ming Juan and June Chew talked on Urinary Incontinence and Pelvic Floor Management. All the participating Hospitals and product companies put up exhibition stalls for public educational materials were made available for the crowd.
