Urogynaecologists and urologists with interest in recognising and managing the neurologically injured bladder.

Neurogenic bladder is a finding that is obivious in patients with Spinal Cord Injury, and Multiple Sclerosis, however the neurogenic bladder may also be found in patients with prior pelvic, or vascular surgery, or may have occult neurological disease presenting with incontiennce or urinary retention.

The aim of this course is to provide urologists and gynecologists, who are not familar with managing neurogenic bladder, the information to recognise, diagnose and the principals of managment of a neurogenic bladder.

Objectives:

  1. Recognition the characteristics of a neurologically injured bladder.
  2. Correct diagnosis a neurogenic bladder and its complications.
  3. Outline the primary principles of neurogenic bladder management.
