ICI at ICS 2016

The ICS Board of Trustees is very pleased to announce an ICS collaboration with ICUD to host the 6th International Consultation on Incontinence (ICI).

Over the last 12 years, the International Consultation on Incontinence (ICI) has established itself as one of the foremost and widely quoted set of international guidelines on the management of urinary and faecal incontinence. Many of the contributors are active ICS members and the published work of the consultation directly fits with the mission and strategic aims of the ICS. So it is most appropriate, and with some pride, that the ICS be directly involved once again.

The ICI Chairs (Paul Abrams, Linda Cardozo, Alan Wein, and Adrian Wagg) will lead the consultation and ICUD will retain intellectual property of the final content while the ICS will hold copyright of the published book, 'Incontinence, 6th edition'. The role of the ICS will be to host the consultation event, publish the final book (format to be confirmed) and disseminate the recommendations and guidelines.

Preparations are well under way. Committee Chairs have been working hard with the members of the ICI steering group to form their committees - to view this information please 'click here'. The International Consultation on Urological Diseases ICUD has been involved in approving the arrangements as decisions are made. ICS is providing administrative support for the meeting and both ICS and ICI are responsible for gaining sponsorship for the event and the 6th ICI guidelines book.

At our annual meeting, ICI presentations will be held over the first two days, with our usual high quality ICS workshops running in parallel. All efforts will be made to limit topic clashes so that delegates can attend workshops and ICI sessions that are most relevant to them. We are pleased to confirm that ICI sessions are open for all meeting delegates at no cost. All ICI sessions are 25 minutes and includes time for questions.
