Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre
Gothenburg is located on the West coast of Sweden approximately 460kms away from Stockholm. The international airport Landvetter (GOT) is located 25 kilometres south-east of the city centre and you can travel from various destinations in Europe and the world. You can also easily get a train or bus from Stockholm which run frequent routes.
To and from the airport
It's easy to get to and from the airport with the shuttle bus service Flygbussarna - the journey time is between 25 and 30 minutes. Buses leave outside the terminal building and the final stop is the central station Nils Ericssonterminalen. You can buy your bus ticket online ahead of time, or from a ticket machine or the bus driver. Note that you cannot pay the driver in cash. Click here for the Flygbyssarna time table and ticket information. Alternatively, take the cheaper, but less frequent line, the Swebus Express.
Taxis are located directly outside the arrivals hall. You will pay around 300 SEK for a one-way journey to the Central Station. Uber is also available in Gothenburg.
The official language of the Meeting is English.
There’s something very special about summertime in Sweden which, roughly speaking, runs from late May–early September. Temperatures are warm, but not uncomfortably so, and the days seem never-ending. However as its Sweden its best to come prepared for any weather - Swedes will be quick to remind you that det finns inget dåligt väder, bara dåliga kläder (there is no bad weather, only bad clothes). Gothenburg can be windy so a coat rather than umbrella is recommended.
