The ICS is an inclusive organisation with full respect for the following (but not limited too):-
- geographic area
- academic, private practice, hospital
- urban or rural
- size of practice
- length of time in profession
Collaboration and the pursuit of scientific integrity is the goal of our society. The ICS embraces and derives value from the variety of views and opinions that diverse individuals bring to a project, committee and creates a supportive learning environment to foster open communication of diverse perspectives and realities. It is therefore important that the ICS represents the views and perspectives of all our members and stakeholders, so we encourage a wide range of applications for working groups, committee positions and elected Board (and Committee) positions from the ICS membership. Any medical professional, patient or person at large may become an ICS member without any application approval process.
