Course Objectives:
This ICS accredited course will cover clinical anatomy, advanced laparoscopic skills including laparoscopic suturing, intracorporeal and extracorporeal knotting techniques, operative procedures such as laparoscopic Colposuspension and a wide range of apical support techniques for pelvic organ prolapse - laparoscopic Sacrohysteropexy, Sacrocervicopexy and Sacrocolpopexy.
Day 1 consists of lectures and video presentations to improve clinical knowledge, laparoscopic skills and technical decision making for advanced urogynaecological procedures. Day 2 provides hands on practical training on cadavers with a ratio of 1:2 per cadaver and an excellent team of experienced faculty to mentor and facilitate this. This course is aimed at consultants, subspecialty trainees in Urogynaecology and senior registrars with intermediate laparoscopic competency.
Fees and Registration:
Course fees is £750 for 2 days. Candidates have to register for both days.
Candidates withdrawing will only have course fees reimbursed if their place on the course can be filled.
