In this webinar, all uro-nephrological aspects of Williams-Beuren syndrome will be discussed, including clinical scenarios. This is an educational event organised jointly by ERN ITHACA, ERN ERKNet, and ERN eUROGEN. It is aimed at both healthcare professionals and patient organisations.
Dr. Verena Gravenhorst (ERN ITHACA), from the Department of Pediatric Cardiology in the University Medical Center Göttingen in Germany, will provide an introduction to the topic, before looking at the cardiological aspects of the condition. Following this, Prof. Olivia Boyer (ERN ERKNet), from the Pediatric Nephrology Department in the Necker-Enfants malades Hospital in Paris, will give an overview of the nephrological aspects of the syndrome. Dr. Giovanni Mosiello (ERN eUROGEN), pediatric urologist at the Paediatric Hospital Bambino Gesu in Rome, will then discuss the urological viewpoint before, finally, Dr. Annalisa Scopinaro, President of UNIAMO (the Italian Federation of Rare Diseases), will present views from the patient organisations.
