Male stress urinary incontinence after prostate surgery is a challenging problem and when rehabilitation methods fail, surgery may be considered. The main surgical options are the artificial urinary sphincter implantation, the urethral bulking injections of various substances and the male urethral slings. Treatment of stress urinary incontinence with a new system, the ProACT, has been recently introduced with very promising clinical results. The aims of the present Course are: to discuss the prevalence and pathophysiology of urinary incontinence after prostate surgery; to discuss the role of the “gold standard” (artificial urinary sphincter) and all the alternative options; to familiarize with the ProACT system and with the contemporary implantation techniques; to discuss the clinical results and the perioperative management of the ProACT system. The scientific program will include Lectures from world renowned experts in the field and a Live Surgery session with comprehensive kinds of patients and implantation techniques.
