Timothy B. McKinney, MD, PhD, FACOG, FPMRS is Clinical Professor at Drexel

University College of Medicine Department, of OB/GYN. A graduate of Rutgers Medical

School, he completed his Fellowship in Urogynecology at University of Pennsylvania,

Pennsylvania Hospital with Dr. Richard Eisenberg. He had been Chief of Urogynecology

and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at UMDNJ/SOM since 1995. He was the Director of

Athena Womens Institute for Pelvic Health and had a non-accredited Fellowship

Training Program since 1997. He now part of a

fully Accredited Fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery

at Drexel University College of Medicine. He is also active in the Minimally invasive

Surgery AAGL fellowship out of Drexel University as well. He is extensively

published in journals and books and an innovator in Urogynecology and Laparoscopic

surgery (performed the 1st Laparoscopic hysterectomy in the Delaware Valley with Mark

Woodland, MD in 1989 and the 4th in the world with Harry Reich, MD). Through his research he invented the T-DOC “air charged”™

Catheter technology and started his own worldwide marketing and distribution company,

T-DOC, LLC.com® for which he was the CEO and Medical Director. TDOC has now

merged with Laborie Medical and he is continuing as Medical Director. He was a Co-

founder of IMET (Innovation in Medical Education and Training), dedicated to teaching

anatomy and minimally invasive surgery. He served as a Board of Trustee for the

International Society of Gynecological Endoscopy (ISGE), T-DOC®, OB/GYN.Net and

International Organization for Women and Development (IOWD). He was instrumental

in starting the medical mission in Niger Africa for women

afflicted by fistulas, female mutilation and other female reproductive/ GYN issues.

With the help of Storz’s donation, IOWD performed the first laparoscopies in Niger

Africa and now Rwanda. IOWD was founded in 2001 and can be found on

IOWD.org web site. His latest mission work is in Grenada, WI. Under the McKinney

Foundation for Women’s Health. He was an ADHOC Editor

for AAGL Journal and editor for OB/GYN.Net. Dr. McKinney’s interests are in

International Medicine, advanced laparoscopic surgical teaching, urodynamics, pelvic

anatomy, reconstructive surgical techniques, voiding dysfunction, pelvic pain and

autologous stem cell research. He is an entrepreneur developing companies providing

products for the advancement of medicine, regulatory and pharmaceutical areas.
