Robyn is an experienced physiotherapist and midwife who has been working in the field of continence for over 15 years. A passionate advocate for access to quality health care for women, she has worked in public health services in Australia, and United Nations-supported ‘Refugee Health’ in Cairo, Egypt. She has worked in clinical leadership in women’s health physiotherapy and continence, and teaches postgraduate pelvic floor physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. She has published peer-reviewed articles on advanced practice pelvic floor and continence physiotherapy, cost-effectiveness of antenatal and postnatal pelvic floor muscle training for incontinence, and pelvic floor therapy for gynaecological cancer survivors. Robyn is undertaking her PhD in ‘Pelvic floor dysfunction after gynaecological cancer’ at the University of Melbourne, Australia, with support for her studies from an Australian Physiotherapy Research Foundation project grant, an Australia Physiotherapy Research Foundation seeding grant and an Australian government research training stipend.
