Cynthia (Cindy) E. Neville, PT, DPT, WCS

Dr. Cindy Neville is a national and international investigator and presenter on women’s and pelvic health rehabilitation. She teaches post graduate continuing professional education courses on topics including pelvic floor examination, treatment, and rehabilitation and pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation.

Areas of Interest: Dr. Neville’s professional vision is that rehabilitation services specifically for the pelvic health rehabilitation, which are founded upon the best evidence based practice, will be provided as the standard of care and will be accessible to people who need and desire them.

Dr. Neville is a Women’s Health Certified Specialist (WCS); board certified by the American Board of Physical Therapist Specialties since 2010. Her areas of interest in clinical practice include pelvic floor rehabilitation and obstetric physical therapy. She has been certified in biofeedback for pelvic muscle dysfunction by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America. (BCB - PMD). She was awarded her Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP-pelvic) from the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Section on Women’s Health (SOWH) in 2007.

Academic Activities: Dr. Neville is a member of the Clinical Faculty at the University of North Florida, Brooks College of Health, where she teaches classes in anatomy of the pelvis and pelvic floor, and topics in women’s health physical therapy.

Dr. Neville is a nationally and internationally recognized research investigator and has authored and co-authored several research articles in the area of women’s health rehabilitation. She secured the first ever grant for research in women’s health rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in 2006. She has presented research platforms and posters at several national and international meetings including the World Congress of Physical Therapy, the International Continence Society, the World Congress of Low Back and Pelvic Pain, and the American Physical Therapy Association. She is currently performing research on prevalence and outcomes of treatment for urinary incontinence.

Dr. Neville is a nationally and internationally recognized speaker in the clinical practice area of women’s health rehabilitation. She has been invited to teach and to speak at international conferences, at several APTA national conferences and meetings, and APTA Chapter conferences. She teaches several post graduate continuing education courses on topics including pelvic floor examination, treatment, and rehabilitation and pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation each year.
