Biosketch:
Dr. Moldwin is Professor of Urology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra-Northwell. He is also Director of the Pelvic Pain Treatment Center at The Arthur Smith Institute for Urology of the Northwell Health System. Dr. Moldwin has a national and international reputation as a leader in the field of pelvic pain with special interests in pain syndromes including interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome(IC/BPS)and chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome.

He is past President of the Society for Infections and Inflammation in Urology and is currently Vice-President of the European Society for the study of Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome (ESSIC). Dr. Moldwin serves on multiple medical advisory boards including the Interstitial Cystitis Association and is a past member of its Board of Directors. Currently, Dr. Moldwin is conducting several pelvic pain related clinical drug and device studies, studies related to pelvic pain mapping, and his work on dietary effects on pain led to the Short-Moldwin diet questionnaire. His laboratory interests focus upon immunologic dysfunction in IC/BPS patients who manifest Hunner lesions. He serves as co-Chair for IC/BPS in the MAPP (Multidisciplinary Approach to the Study Of Chronic Pelvic Pain), a project funded by the NIDDK.

Dr. Moldwin received his MD from The University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine and completed urology residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He received a New York Academy of Medicine Ferdinand Valentine Award for Fellowship training (bladder host defense mechanisms) in the Department of Urology, Thomas Jefferson Medical College.
