Christian Gratzke is associate professor at the Department of Urology, LudwigMaximilians-University (LMU) in Munich, Germany (Director: Prof. C. G. Stief). After Medical School at the LMU Munich and University of Vienna he completed research fellowships at Wake Forest University, NC (Prof. Karl-Erik Andersson) and at Lund University, Sweden (Prof. Petter Hedlund) in clinical pharmacology. In 2015 he did a clinical fellowship in robotic surgery at OLV Ziekenhuis in Belgium (Prof. A. Mottrie). His main clinical interests include treatment of prostate cancer, in addition to his research activities focusing on lower urinary tract and erectile dysfunction.
Christian Gratzke is associate editor of European Urology, Editor in Chief of European Urology Focus, and member of the EAU working group on BPH/male LUTS. He has published more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals, authored 16 book chapters and received multiple national and international awards for his basic and clinical research, most recently the Crystal Matula-Award by the EAU in 2017.
