Talita dos Santos Rosa is a Registered Nurse, Professor at the Department of Collective Health at the Faculty of Medicine of Jundiaí, and Senior Researcher at the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein (CEPPAR). She is currently undertaking a postdoctoral fellowship at the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care, King’s College London.
Her research focuses on pelvic floor dysfunctions, particularly in older adults and sexual and gender minorities, as well as gastrointestinal disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease. She leads projects on health technologies for self-management of chronic conditions, underpinned by health promotion models.
Other research interests include urinary and fecal incontinence, neuromodulation, and nurse-led interventions for people with chronic pelvic and bowel disorders. She has extensive experience as a clinical and rehabilitation research nurse at the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Hospital das Clínicas, University of São Paulo.
Talita is a reviewer for the International Journal of Nursing Studies and an active member of the Brazilian Association for Stomatherapy and the International Continence Society. She also collaborates with research groups such as the Bowel Research in Nursing Group (BriNG) at King’s College London, the Estomatherapy Research Group at EEUSP, and NEROHEAB at EERP-USP.
She is committed to advancing clinical research and supporting nurses in developing academic careers, contributing to postgraduate education in continence care and health technology across multiple universities in Brazil.
