Emily Stratta is an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar in the Oxford deanery UK. She has an active and longstanding interest in patient and medical education. Her current educational roles include ROBUST course instructor and Laparoscopic Deanery Simulation Representative in Oxford. She regularly runs tutorials and lectures the Oxford medical students, her Laparoscopic Pelvic Anatomy surgical video is used to teach the Oxford undergraduate curriculum, and she assists with running OSCEs and international conference workshops. She has helped develop questions for the Situational Judgement test, a national medical examination. She has made professional-quality patient education videos.
Her research experience includes a MRes in Maternal and Fetal Heath with the St Mary's Manchester group, an Academic Foundation Programme in Medical Education and publication with Prof Clayton's team in genomic sequencing. Her interest in laparoscopic surgery has led to collaboration and publications with the Oxford Urogynaecology team, Simon Jackson and Natalia Price. She has six research publications and 10 international/national conference presentations.
