Gunhilde Buchsbaum, M.D. is division director of Urogynecology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She is Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Urology. Dr. Buchsbaum has a special interest in vaginal surgery using local anesthesia for pelvic organ prolapse and minimally invasive abdominal surgery. She is also interested in interdisciplinary collaborations on treatment and research of pelvic floor disorders. She is senior investigator on a study on prevalence of symptomatic pelvic floor disorders among women seen in gynecologic oncology practice (Obstet Gynecol. 2013).
