Lesley-Ann M. Hanson-Bellefeuille is currently working as a Nurse Continence Advisor (NCA) in the Synergy Women’s Wellness Program at the Synergy Medical Clinic in Sherwood Park a member of the Sherwood Park Primary Care Network.
Lesley graduated from the Misericordia School of Nursing, received her post-RN BScN with honors from the University of Alberta in 2000 and received certification as a Nurse Continence Advisor from McMaster University in 2001.
She remains an active member of the Canadian Nurse Continence Advisor Association (CNCA).
Since 1995 Lesley has worked with Dr. Catherine G. Flood and her associates in a nurse run clinic in the Urogynecology Wellness Program, assessing and offering non-surgical conservative treatment to women with urinary incontinence and/or pelvic floor prolapse.
Lesley has initiated the Urogynecology Telehealth program in August of 2005, expanding the role of the continence nurse using telehealth technology for assessing and treating rural/remote patients with incontinence.
Lesley is now working as an NCA in a Primary Care setting in a women’s wellness clinic.
Lesley is actively involved with teaching health care professionals locally, nationally and internationally in the use and care of pessaries as a conservative management option for women with urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
