Angela is a pelvic floor physiotherapist with a special interest in the management of chronic lower bowel dysfunction, in particular functional constipation & defaecation disorders. Currently Angela is a senior clinician with the Functional Gut Clinic at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, Australia and the Alfred Health Continence Service which liaises with the Alfred Functional Gut Disorder Clinic. Angela also works in a multidisciplinary private Gastroenterological practice with Professor Michael Kamm and his team. These clinics provide a unique opportunity to assess and manage a wide range of complex lower bowel disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease and post-surgical bowel dysfunction. Angela is an invited lecturer for the University of Melbourne (School of Physiotherapy) and is undertaking a PhD investigating behavioural treatment for functional bowel symptoms in inflammatory bowel disease.
