Theodore (Ted) M. Johnson, MD, MPH, is Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology and Associate Professor of Urology at Emory University

Dr. Johnson graduated from Brown University (AB, Biology), Providence, Rhode Island; the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University (MD), Chicago, Illinois; and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (MPH, Epidemiology). He completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Health Services Research at the Cecil G. Sheps Center, Chapel Hill, NC, under a National Service Research Award.

Dr. Johnson has been actively engaged in teaching, management, research regarding urinary incontinence in older patients for 10 years. His primary area of research interest is in lower urinary tract dysfunction in aging, particularly with respect to nocturia. He has been active in research through the US Government (VA and NIH) as well as foundations and industry. He has published articles in journals including The Journal of Urology, The Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, and The Journal of Aging and Health, Medical Clinics of North America, and Geriatric Clinics of North America. He also served as a member of the ICS sub-committee on the standardization of terminology in nocturia.
