Mary Happel Palmer, PhD, RN, FAAN is Professor Emerita at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Nursing. Dr. Palmer has conducted research, published, and lectured extensively on urinary incontinence, continence promotion, and bladder health in adults. She is the author of award-winning books on urinary continence and most recently, she was a committee member of the 7th International Consultation on Incontinence. Dr. Palmer is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, American Geriatrics Society, and the Gerontological Society of America.
