The ICS was very proud to announce Eric Glen as the recipient of The Lifetime Achievement Award 2012. The prestigious award was presented at the Annual Dinner at the ICS Annual Scientific Meeting in Beijing.
Eric was one of the founding members of the ICS, and convened the first annual meeting in 1971. Following his retirement in 1985, Eric was bestowed with Honorary Membership of the Society in recognition for all his hard work in setting up and running the ICS. On behalf of all of the members of the ICS, we thank Eric for his service and dedication to the Society over the past 40 years. As Ian Ramsay so poignantly noted: “Without Eric there would be no ICS, and even if there were it would be a shadow of the society it is today without Eric’s unbelievable hard work and effort in the first 15 years.”
