ICS member, Jo Laycock, is writing an article on the International History or Pelvic Floor Muscle (PFM) Rehabilitation. As part of her research Jo is keen to contact as many physiotherapist/physical therapists as possible throughout the world to find out:

  1. Any ancient practices involving the pelvic floor muscles; probably linked with childbirth.
  2. When physios/midwives/nurses/doctors in their country first got involved in PFM rehab.
  3. When PFM rehab was first taught in the PT undergraduate training course. If still not taught at undergraduate level, when Post Graduate Courses became available.

Jo would like all countries to be represented in this publication, we are therefore asking physiotherapists from all regions to assist in this project.

If you would like to represent your country, please contact Jo: laycock.culgaith@btinternet.com
