In June 2015 the ICS Board proudly announced that ICS will host the forthcoming 6th International Consultation on Incontinence (ICI) as part of the 2016 ICS Annual Scientific Meeting in Tokyo, Japan. We would now like to share further information on this exciting partnership and the updated schedule.

The future of ICS and ICI
The ICI is one of the Consultations that are held under the auspices of the International Consultation on Urological Diseases (ICUD). In recent years, the Consultations have been hosted by professional societies including the SIU and the EAU. ICS members have made a major contribution to these successful Consultations on Incontinence and the ICS Board has been working with the Chairs of the ICI to work much more closely. Our long term goal is to establish a close relationship with ICI. By hosting the meeting and by ever closer cooperation, friendship and trust, we seek to re-establish the connection the two organisations have had historically and cement our shared scientific interests.

An integrated ICS and ICI programme
The meeting programme has now been integrated across four meeting days: Tuesday 13th – Friday 16th September. ICS acknowledges that time is at a premium to our members and delegates and starting with ICS 2015 we have moved to an exciting new four day integrated meeting. The majority of ICI presentations will be held over the first two days, with our usual high quality and diverse ICS workshops running in parallel. All efforts will be made to limit topic clashes so that delegates can attend workshops and ICI sessions that are most relevant to them. The ICS meeting will continue from Wednesday 14th through Friday 16th September with the full complement of state of the art presentations, scientific sessions, e-posters and unique events for your specific discipline.

In order to encourage a high attendance and to give the very best value to our meeting delegates we are pleased to confirm that the ICI presentations will be available to all meeting delegates for free. Registration will be included within the normal annual meeting registration rate.

We hope that many of you who plan to attend ICS 2016 will also find time to attend the ICI presentations at the concurrent meeting to hear the updated findings of this widely respected and quoted organisation's guidelines.
