The ICS Nursing, Scientific and Local Organising committees have planned an outstanding schedule of various types of sessions and content for nurses at ICS 2017 in Florence. ICS is the best conference for nurses who specialise in continence care. It's the "must attend" for those who want to be at the forefront of their field by understanding the latest research evidence and future direction of developments to inform their practice.

WORKSHOPS

Explore the conservative management track

The Education Committee has ensured that there is a wide range of workshops available to all. Some workshops are free and others you need to register and pay for. Here are some workshops we think will be of interest to nurses.

ICS CORE CURRICULUM (FREE): Continence Care Nursing followed by networking lunch This free workshop will focus on the assessment and conservative management of incontinence in specific patient populations including frail, community-dwelling elders, individuals who have had a stroke, and persons with OAB. Following the workshop will be a networking lunch before the Nursing Forum starts. This is for all nurses and a special invitation is extended to new ICS nurse members, first time attendees and attendees who are graduate/doctoral students. This workshop is part of the ICS core curriculum and is not to be missed. It will also be translated from English to Italian.

Collaboration of professionals: Physiotherapy and Nursing, networking to treat disorders related to the dysfunctional pelvic floor - what better way to embrace the multidisciplinary aspects of ICS with this joint nurse and physio workshop. This workshop will focus on how a multidisciplinary healthcare team approach patient assessment and treatment of the dysfunctional pelvic floor.
